Therapy
I provide a compassionate, confidential and empathetic approach in a safe place, to work through difficulties you maybe experiencing. Whatever the reason for seeking counselling, I aim to build a supportive relationship through listening and talking, to work through issues that maybe causing discomfort and distress. Providing you with the tools to look after your feelings.Whether it be anxiety, depression, shame, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, low self-esteem or addictions, we can collaborate in exploring these problems and learn to manage the feelings that may often seem overwhelming. Working together to challenge self defeating behaviour, identifying goals and increasing motivation. I use various approaches tailor made to meet your needs.I appreciate it takes courage to start counselling and the importance of the right therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I provide a free 15 minute telephone consultation prior to progressing to sessions. I provide short or long term therapy. I adhere to the BACP code of ethics.Sessions are 50 minutes long and my fee is £150 per session, payable prior to the session. The cancellation policy is 48 hours notice.
About Maria
I am a qualified integrative therapist accredited with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have an MSc degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling from London South Bank University.My clinical experience varies from working in a leading London outpatient clinic and a thriving private practice based in Central and North London. I currently provide online sessions via Zoom.My specialities of counselling are relationship difficulties through manifestations of codependency, sex and love addiction, relationship/sexual/social/emotional avoidance, abusive relationships, obsessions, care taking, the loss of oneself to others. I aim to encourage self-esteem for healthy, intimate relationships to flourish with others and oneself.
